Hannah Myer APC
THERAPIST
My goal as a therapist is to create a safe space for individuals to journey toward healing and become more fully themselves in the process. This journey looks different for everyone, and wherever you are, my hope is that the counseling relationship is one that equips you to find freedom and peace in the midst of struggle and embrace the richness of your life in all circumstances.
I have a bachelor’s degree in English and International Studies from Penn State University, and a master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University. I am a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) through the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC), and I am an Associate Professional Counselor (APC).
My educational and professional experiences have provided opportunities for me to work with adolescents and adults from a variety of life stages. Prior to becoming a therapist, I mentored college students and worked with non-profit organizations dedicated to relational, spiritual, and emotional health. In the therapy setting, I have experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma-related issues, grief/loss, life transitions, chronic health issues, self-esteem, stress, and interpersonal issues. My approach to therapy is integrative and trauma-informed, and I am trained in EMDR therapy.
Outside of the office, I enjoy listening to music, attending live performances of my favorite artists, drinking coffee, spending time with my family and friends, and trying to tackle my ever-growing to-be-read list of books.
To seek help is a sign of strength and resilience, and I hope that together we can build on that strength to engage your unique story with care.
