Counseling can be one of the most rewarding journeys that you can do for yourself. Its never easy to take the first step, but once you have, you will find it is one way to find direction to living life to its fullest. I enjoy walking along with people as new perspectives and outlooks develop. This often results in improved relationships with one’s self as well as with others.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with a masters degree in social work and an undergraduate degree in human services and counseling. I have over 20 years of experience, working in the non-profit, education, and medical fields. I work with children, teens, college students, women, and families.
I like to use a variety of approaches, including cognitive behavioral therapy as well as bibliotherapy, person-centered, strengths perspective, and play therapy. Some areas of interest include: adoption, grief, depression, anxiety, sexual abuse recovery, divorce recovery, teen issues, obsessive compulsive disorder, adjustment issues, post-traumatic stress disorder, family/parenting issues, boundaries, and wellness.
